Darkroom Photos

The strongest aspect of my work was the symmetrical photo (top left) landscape (top left) and the test strip (bottom right). They're my best work because the different value shades are visible. Also the symmetrical photo is what was required, so showing symmetry was also a plus. What can be improved on is the test strip. It's an approving test strip, although some of the lines were not crisp and clean like I wanted them to be. Also making the magazine photos better because both of them didn't come out like it should've. The lighter version had almost all the shade values, except black.
What was easy about this activity was building the landscape and symmetry, it wasn't really that hard. If anything I loved it just because of the thought of painting with light. Also it was easy putting the photos in the chemicals to develop the photos onto the special paper. What was difficult was trying to adjust your eyes in the darkroom, and especially having to line up the paper with light with so little light to see in there.
How I demonstrated the objective of this activity was teaching myself how to use the chemicals and develop my photos once I take them on the camera. To also learn how to troubleshoot your work to make it better and improve it. If I could do this activity differently I would've chose a different F-stop for the magazines because F-11 for 10s wasn't really working for this image.

Ballet Dancer Polaroid

The strongest aspect of my work is placing the polaroids perfectly and also using the lasso tool to remove any access pieces of the frame that shouldn't be there. What can be improved on in my work is choosing the proper color for the background. The color in the middle of the photo is kind of a darker blue compared to the lighter shade of blue in front of it. It was just really difficult to find a good shade of blue to fit this one.
What was easy about this activity was placing the polaroids on the photo and then editing the photos to make it look it was thrown on a table. Although, I had slight problems with erasing the background. If you noticed, on her left hand some of the skin is gone and it was already too late to fix it.
How I demonstrated this project was using the lasso tool to edit the frames, the eraser to erase the background, and add a new one background to fit the photo. If I could do this activity again I would choose a better photo that wasn't so difficult to find a background for. Like a purple or pink background.

Face Project

My strongest technical aspect is the painting of the face to make it look clean and realistic also cleaning up the freckles thoroughly which I'm very proud of. I took a lot of patience and time to clean the freckles thoroughly before starting to paint her face. What can be improved is staying in the lines around the chin area, that's the only part of the face that gave me some problems. Next time I'll use a smaller brush to get those edges, to make less of the mistakes I've made in this one.
What was easy about this activity was choosing the right photo for the project and cleaning up the freckles on the face, and painting over her lips which I'm very proud of the outcome. What was difficult about this project was choosing the right picture that wasn't edited already because there was a lot of freckle faced pictures that were edited.
How I edited this image was using the healing tool to clean the freckles off her face, lasso tool for whitening the outer parts of her eyes and also using the same tool to change the color of her eyes. When I do this project over what i'll do differently is the coloring of the nose, the colors I chose felt a little off to me, so that's one thing I'll do differently.

Desaturated Flower

The strongest technical aspect of my work is the flower, and using the history brush to paint it in. A technical aspect I should improve on in my work is using the "ants" to get the very tips of the flower pedals. With this picture I don't think anything needs to be improved that I can see.
What was easy about editing this picture was using the history brush to paint in the colors of the flower and stem. Although, what was difficult is about this was choosing the perfect flower for this project because most of the pictures were either already painted, edited with different tools, or not realistic.
How I demonstrated this was using desaturation then use the "ants" to help me choose the spots where I want to paint after doing that I used the history brush to pain in all the areas on the flower.  For next time, Is have a better use of the "ants" because it's very helpful with painting in complicated areas of the picture.

Flower And Leaves

The strongest technical aspect of my work is the flower, I chose the best colors for this flower to make it seem realistic as possible. I went light on the pedals but went into a darker pink as I moved into the center. A technical aspect that I needs to be improved on is trying to pick the best colors to blend, mostly with the leaves, or make the colors a little brighter.
This art activity was easy because my picture didn't really have much work to do, I only did the flowers, and the leaves. The flower was mostly easy because it was manageable to do. Although, what was difficult about it was staying in the lines while painting the some of the small leaves. That was really my only difficulty.
I used some of the brushes that needed to be used like soft brush/hard brush, changing the brush size, change of opacity, and blending mode(s). Next time i'll work more on my blending, and choosing better colors for the leaves.
